Coastal Carolina Bariatric and Surgical Center (CCB&SC) earned recognition for high patient satisfaction. For the past five years, the practice has been awarded "Top Medical Practice for Patient Satisfaction" among Hospital Corporation of America practices. CCB&SC came in first among 200 physician practices in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. The practice is comprised of two physicians: bariatric surgeon Neil McDevitt, MD and general surgeon Michael Michel, MD. A Registered Dietitian, medical assistants, a practice manager, and front office staff are also key in the patient satisfaction experience.

"Everything we do is for our patients," Dr. McDevitt remarked. "From the first appointment to follow-up visits, we are there for them every step of the way. Their weight loss successes are our successes. Our goal is to help these patients live happier, healthier lives." Patient support extends past the physicians; every member of the team is patient satisfaction oriented. Staff members work alongside physicians to host monthly information sessions and support groups at Summerville Medical Center. Dr. McDevitt even hosts annual kayak trips with his former patients in efforts to create lasting bonds and encourage physician activity.

An award ceremony will be held at noon on May 3rd to award Coastal Carolina Bariatric and Surgical Center for their achievements in patient satisfaction. For information about Coastal Carolina Bariatric and Surgical Center, call (843) 875-8994 or visit www.CCBariatricandSurgical.com.
