Summerville, SC - Today Summerville Medical Center welcomes Jeff Taylor as the hospital's new Chief Executive Officer.

Taylor has been an executive with HCA Healthcare for the past 9 years, he was most recently the Chief Operating Officer at HCA Healthcare's Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Prior to that position, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, MO.

"He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be a significant resource as Summerville Medical Center continues to grow to meet the needs of our community."

Taylor is joining Summerville Medical Center at a time of extensive growth and expansion. The hospital has invested more than $100 million into expanding its facility and services. In 2019, the hospital completed a $61 million women's services & surgical services expansion. This year, Summerville Medical Center will complete a $24 million ER expansion and open Brighton Park Emergency, a new freestanding ER near Nexton in Berkeley County. "I'm really excited about the expansion and new construction that's underway right now. This hospital is going through incredible growth. It's a sign of progress and the community's confidence in the work we do here," said Taylor.

Taylor earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Missouri Southern State University and his Master's degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of Missouri. He is joined by his wife, Lauren, and their three children in moving to the Summerville area.
