We have a Universal Protection plan in place to ensure your safety:
- Screening of everyone that enters the building - including temperature checks and screening questions.
- Universal masking – so that everyone entering the ER is required to wear a mask.
- Social distancing.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing.
Safe ER care, near you.
If you or a loved one experience emergency symptoms of any kind, it is critical that you seek medical attention - especially for chest pain, sudden dizziness, weakness or numbness in your arms and/or legs.
All of our ERs are staffed by board-certified ER physicians that provide safe and compassionate emergency care.
ER Fast Track
All emergencies are important; but not all emergencies require the same amount of medical attention. Our ER Fast Track is designed to quickly treat patients with mild ailments and injuries, like colds and cuts. Patients in our ER Fast Track are cared for in separate area within our Emergency Department. To learn more about ER Fast Track click on the video links.
What conditions are treated at an ER?
Typical patients range from those with chest pain, trauma or abdominal pain to those with headaches or stroke. The ERs at Trident and Summerville Medical Centers both offer “fast track” services for expedient care of patients less critically ill.
For more severe conditions, like heart attacks or strokes, our emergency rooms offer fast diagnoses as well as advanced technology and expertise to treat severely injured and critically ill patients.
